This report provides a line-item view of your PayPal transactions for a specified period. It is designed to be a monthly statement of your PayPal account balance and the various transaction activities that reconcile your starting and ending balance. Here, you can look at a summary of your financial activity and then drill down into a specific category, such as customer payments, PayPal fees, business expenses, bank transfers, and more. Pre-sorted data, precise revenue, and expense categories make it easier than ever to reconcile your accounts.
The Monthly Financial Summary reports only balance-affecting transactions that debited or credited your PayPal account balance, and does not include any pending transactions such as authorizations not captured, pending e-checks, or unresolved disputes.
Each line-item (for example, Payments Received or Refunds) is presented as an aggregate amount. You can drill-down to track individual transactions. For example, you can click "Refunds" to see all of the refunded transactions in a month.
This report cannot be viewed for the current date. You can select previous months (the previous 16 months are available) or select a 31-day custom date range.
Perform the following steps to generate a report:
Select a time period you want to retrieve transaction information for. You have the following options -
Month - Select a month from the drop-down menu that you want to generate a report for. The default option is the current month. If you select the current month, the report displays transactions performed for the month up to the current date.
Date Range - Select specific dates from up to three years ago. The maximum date range you can select is 31 days, which does not include the current date.
Select the Currency type from the drop-down menu to display all transactions in that currency. You can only view transactions for one currency type at a time.
Click View Report to generate the report.
The report displays the transactions that fit the date range and currency criteria you selected. You can click Print to print the report, or download the report in the following formats:
PDF - Opens or saves report as Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf).

CSV - Opens or saves the report in a comma-separated values (.csv) file format, where data is separated by the comma character and records/rows are separated by new lines.
