Custom Report Fields

The table below describes all the fields available for Custom Report:

 

Field

Description

Transaction ID

Transaction ID generated when the transaction is submitted. This ID is generated by PayPal and cannot be altered by merchant. The Transaction ID is used as the PayPal analog for the merchant's invoice ID.

Transaction Completion Date

Date when the transaction was completed.

Time

Time when the transaction was performed.

Time Zone

Merchant's time zone, as per daylight savings time.

Name

Business name of the counterparty participating in the transaction. If the counterparty is not a business or premier account, then the first name and last name of the counterparty is displayed.

Gross

Gross amount used for the transaction.

Gross Transaction Currency

Currency of the gross amount used for the transaction.

Fee

Fee amount charged by PayPal.

Fee Currency

Currency of the fee amount charged by PayPal.

Net

Net amount (gross amount minus the fee account) calculated for the transaction.

Status

Indicates one of the following:

  • Transaction is completed and the balance will not change unless disputed or correct.

  • Transaction is pending and will have a follow up event that makes the balance impact final.

The purpose of this field is to inform the user of events like "pending reversal" that will always have a follow up event.

From Email Address

Indicates the source of the money.

To Email Address

Indicates the receiver of the money.

Invoice Number

Invoice ID provided by the merchant when submitting the transaction.

Reference Txn ID

Parent transaction ID used to reference current transactions.

PayPal Reference ID Type

Type of parent transaction associated with the entry. They include:

  • TXN - If the parent transaction is a normal transaction

  • SUB - If the parent transaction is a  subscription transaction

  • PAP - If the parent transaction is a pre-approved payment

  • ORT - If the parent transaction is a order payment

Transaction Event Code

Transaction Event Code or t-codes refer to specific events within the PayPal system. The user is able to use the t-codes to understand the events within their account and see how those events eventually impact their business as it relates to the payments made with PayPal.

Date

Date on which the transaction was performed.

Insurance Amount

Insurance amount that was reported by either PayPal or the merchant in the transaction.

Sales Tax

Sales tax amount that was reported by either PayPal or the merchant in the transaction.

Shipping and Handling Amount

Shipping and handling amount that was reported by either PayPal or the merchant in the transaction.

Subject

Subject of payment as passed through by the payer to the payee. This data is controlled by the payer in the interfaces through which it was sent.

Note

Special note regarding payment as passed through by the payer to the payee. This data is controlled by the payer exclusively in the interfaces through with it is sent.

Payer's Account ID

PayPal account number of the counterparty, if the counterparty registered with PayPal.

Address Status

Shipping address status of the counterparty

Item Title

  • Auction/Item title specified by the buyer.

  • PayPal shopping cart item name, Buy Now item name, donations item name, or subscriptions name, as specified by the seller.

Item ID

  • Auction/Item number specified by the buyer.

  • PayPal shopping cart item number, Buy Now item number, donations item number, or subscriptions number, as specified by the seller.

Option 1 Name

Values specified by seller during button creation. They include:

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Option 1 Name

  • Buy Now Option 1 Name

  • Subscription Option 1 Name

Option 1 Value

Values specified by seller during button creation. They include:

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Option 1 Value

  • Buy Now Option 1 Value

  • Subscription Option 1 Value

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Value 1 Choices

  • Buy Now Value 1 Choices

  • Subscription Value 1 Choices

Option 2 Name

Values specified by seller during button creation. They include:

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Option 2 Name

  • Buy Now Option 2 Name

  • Subscription Option 2 Name

Option 2 Value

Values specified by seller during button creation. They include:

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Option 2 Value

  • Buy Now Option 2 Value

  • Subscription Option 2 Value

  • PayPal Shopping Cart Value 2 Choices

  • Buy Now Value 2 Choices

  • Subscription Value 2 Choices

Auction Site

Name of auction site.

Buyer ID

Buyer ID used for auction payment.

Closing Date

Auction closing date.

Item URL

Auction item URL address.

Shipping Addressee Name

Business entity name to whom the item is shipped. This can be first name, last name if the counterparty does not have a business entity name.

Address Line 1

Address Line 1 of shipping address.

Address Line 2/District

Address Line 2/District of shipping address.

Town/City

Town/City of shipping address.

State/Province/Region/

County/Territory/Prefecture/Republic

State/Province/Region/County/Territory/Prefecture/Republic of shipping address.

Zip/Postal Code

Zip/Postal code of shipping address.

Country

Country of the shipping address.

Shipping Method

Method used for shipping items.

Custom Number

Custom content sent by originator of the transaction. Reserved for use by merchant.

Subscription Number

Subscription agreement ID for subscription payment.

Receipt ID

Receipt ID used for WAX (web accepted payments) payments.

Counterparty Status

Status of the counterparty (for example - non-US verified).

Contact Phone Number

Contact phone number provided by customers.
